*****If you are interested in this class, please message me and we will try to set a date and time. In this class, we will discuss the flags of some of the largest, most populated, and most visited countries of the world, such as the US, UK, France, Brazil, Russia, China, Australia, Japan, India, and more, so that you will be able to instantly recognize them. This is primarily lecture with plenty of facts, maps, and photos on the slides. What do the colors, symbols, and images represent? How do flags foster patriotism and diplomacy? I will explain some of the most uniquely designed and shaped flags. For example, the flag of Kiribati features the sun, a bird, and waves. Nepal's flag is not even quadrilateral! I will explain some country flags that have changed and show some examples of flags that look very similar. I will introduce the study of flags, called vexillology, and that an entire career exists related to flags. Do you have any flags in your home? Show and tell about them!
