Welcome to Strength and Conditioning for Kids! In this ongoing class, students will meet twice weekly to join in on fun and upbeat workout routines. This class is perfect for the young fitness enthusiast, children seeking to build muscle for sports, or those who simply need to burn off some energy! Young students of all skill levels are welcome, as there will be modifications for exercises where applicable. As this class does not require any prior experience, and each lesson's content is independent from one another, students may come and go as they please! In this class, students will learn the proper form to perform a variety of workouts that can be done within the comfort of their own homes. No weights required! Staying motivated to maintain a healthy workout routine can be challenging. In addition, maintaining proper form and practicing safety during exercise can be a daunting challenge. Because of this, I am using my passion and decade long experience in exercise and wellness to help students build confidence in their fitness journeys! Strength and conditioning is the core foundation for building muscle and gaining endurance. While technique, proper form, and training are all huge components of gaining new skills for sports, without the proper strength and endurance, these skills are unachievable. This class will focus on training the proper muscles to achieve each student's fitness goals. Each class will follow the same basic structure, with the exercises within each circuit varying each class to keep things new and interesting! While we will be learning new exercises each class, these exercises are not sequential, and do not require attendance of past lessons. As safety is of upmost importance in this class, parental guidance is highly recommended. If not properly supervised, students risk sustaining injury during exercise.
Learners should maintain sufficient space for exercise, free of any dangerous tables, corners, ledges, or other items. If practicing on a hard floor, a yoga mat or soft surface is needed for increased safety, and comfortability.
Students should also bring a water bottle for proper hydration.

As a fitness enthusiast myself with 10 years of weight lifting experience, I am excited to share my fitness knowledge with learners of all ages! Exercising at all ages is a critical aspect of maintaining good health. My goal is to guide learners in how to properly execute a variety exercises, and grow their confidence in their fitness abilities.
