Are you ready to discover a Wonderful Woman of the World? In this series, students will draw a wonderful woman as a way to celebrate Women’s History. This class offers an opportunity to celebrate, appreciate and understand the contributions of women in society. In each class, students will learn about a wonderful woman as well as draw an image that could be used for a public mural. Students of different drawing abilities are able to enjoy this class as we will use shapes and lines. Kamala Harris is the first female, first Black and first Asian-American Vice President of the United States. The class will begin with a 10-minute introduction of VP Harris; students will learn key words to describe this wonderful woman. Next, we will draw a mural idea to highlight some of the words. By the end of the class, students will have a beautiful drawing of Wonderful Woman of the World. As the teacher, I will guide students to create a drawing that the students likes. Students will strengthen their appreciation and understanding of contributions made by female leaders around the world. In this special class, students will enhance their knowledge of Asian American culture in the wider American culture. By drawing mural image, students will enhance their creativity and artistic skills.

In addition, I have a BA in Sociology from UCLA in Los Angeles. I also have a Graduate Certificate in Gender Studies from USC in Los Angeles. With a combination of real life experiences and cultural studies in college, I am eager to share the beauty of our diverse community through drawing of Wonderful Women of the World.
