Each week students will be assigned 5-6 chapters to read in Wings of Fire: The Dragonet Prophecy by Tui T. Sutherland. I have developed a student workbook covering all of the weekly reading assignments that will be released to students each week. This workbook has comprehension questions and vocabulary words for each chapter of each book to help students with comprehension and overall meaning of the book as they are reading. Students will check in with the teacher and their classmates throughout the week to share their opinions of the book and to discuss our reactions to major plot twists. Following is a general outline for what each week will look like as well as an outline of which chapters students will read each week.
(Note: This class will be highly interactive on out class page but no live meetings will be held because this is a FLEX class.)

Weekly Outline:
-Sunday: Intro video will be posted by the teacher to introduce the week's reading assignment and recap what we read about in the previous week's reading assignment.
-Monday: Workbook covering assigned chapters will be sent out to students with a video from the teacher explaining how to complete the workbook.
-Friday: Student share their favorite or most shocking part of the week's reading assignment with their classmates and the teacher. Students can also share any predictions they may have for the next week's reading assignment. Teacher will also post a video telling her favorite or most shocking part of the week's reading assignment.
-Saturday: Teacher will send out a video reminding students that their workbook should be completed on this day. Students upload answers to their completed workbook via scanning the workbook or taking pictures of their workbook (exceptions can be made for students unable to scan or take pictures of their workbook). 

Following is a schedule for each week's assigned chapters:
Week 1: Prologue and Chapters 1-5 
Week 2: Chapters 6-11
Week 3: Chapters 12-17
Week 4: Chapters 18-23
Week 5: Chapters 24-29
Week 6: Chapters 30-35 and Epilogue
