Experiencia de clase

In this class, students will listen to a story actively being read aloud. I will keep students' interest through varying my tone of voice. I will model to students how to read with expression. This is a great opportunity for students to be entertained through story during these unprecedented times. Through listening to this story, The Cat and The Hat, students' natural curiosity will be encouraged.
I will encourage students to draw their own hat. Students may work on designing their own hat while listening to the story.

 *I recommend putting Zoom on “Active Speaker View” instead of “Gallery View” in the top right hand corner.
*Students will be muted while I read to eliminate distracting background noise.
There is no prior knowledge or experience needed. All that students will need is listening ears!

Hello everyone! I am very excited to teach your student! I am an English/Language Arts, Spelling, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, and ESL teacher! I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelor's Degree in Education from The Ohio State University. I attended and graduated college on a full ride scholarship after submitting my best high school piece of writing.
Since then, I have been teaching in the classroom and  ESL online for over a decade! I have my TESOL certification, and I have experience in teaching all grades! I love teaching English, Language Arts, ESL, and Spelling, and the origin of English words!
Additionally, I love seeing children learn and grow. My goal is to help children love learning English. When I teach children, I don't want to just talk at them- I want to talk to them, and I want them to talk back to me. In order to create bond and literacy development, children need the ability to talk back. The more we talk to children, the brighter they become!
