This course will be broken up into five sections. During each section learners will continue to brainstorm, draw, and create their very own Dino-Island Map. The five sections are broken out below. Each section will also include a short prehistoric presentation before we dive into our map making. Learners are also encouraged to bring their favorite dinosaur toy or figure to share with the group before class. Day 1 • Welcome to Dino-Island Introductions! • Go over the needed supplies. • Dinosaur Ranger Anthony's Dino-Island Map Example (Presentation) • Dino-Island brainstorming. • Begin your map & learn about map elements. Day 2 • What did the Earth look like 65 million years ago? (Presentation) • Add landforms, vegetation, & transportation onto your map! Day 3 • Fossils from the dig sit to the museum! (Presentation) • Brainstorm about amusement parks and the things needed for visitors. • Add buildings onto your map. • Add dinosaur fences and icons onto your map. • Start coloring in your map. Metas de aprendizaje
Students will go back in time in order to increase their knowledge of the Mesozoic Era, when dinosaurs roamed our planet, while they draw their very own Dino-island Map. Learners should go away with an understanding of what a dinosaur actually is, what our planet looked like 65 million years ago, and what elements are needed to understand a map.

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Roar! (which means hello in dinosaur of course).
Do your learners love dinosaurs as much as I do? Unlike most adults, I continued liking dinosaurs as I got older! I've been educating and entertaining children all about dinosaurs and prehistoric life since 2018 when I started my small business named Stomp Chomp Roar.
I offer courses all about prehistoric life from Paleozoic Era sea creatures, Mesozoic Era Dinosaurs, Cenozoic Era mammals and all the rock layers and fossils in between.
My ambition is to bring the excitement of prehistoric life and the study of paleontology to children in an educational and an entertaining way.
I enjoy grilling Jurassic steaks, reading about the past & working on new projects.
