They will be presented with a question at the beginning of the session, make a hypothesis, then identify control, independent, and dependent variables. During my 26 years as a public school teacher, I taught inquiry science to all ages groups. When I left the classroom, I served as a science and math teacher development specialist, wrote and delivered science professional development to teachers across the district, and wrote district science curriculum and assessments for elementary grades.

Students will interact in class through the Pear Deck platform as the main presentation tool. Check for Understanding games will be played on Kahoot and Quizlet. Some pre-screened You Tube videos will be included for content as well as unlisted YouTube videos created by the teacher. None of these resources require students to create log ins or accounts and they will be presented live through the PearDeck platform.
