Webquests are a great way for learners to explore a subject with exciting themes! They will be empowered to make choices while challenged to gather information in an organized manner to create a presentation to share with the class in each session. Themes will run in sets of 5 and include topics like Famous "Failures," Famous Criminals, Famous Artists, and Famous Mysteries in History. More topics will be added as they are developed. Learners will choose a given subject within the current topic in each class. They will be provided a resource list where they will find links to (safe) website information on the subject. They will fill out a brainstorming sheet while they conduct their reading and research and work to fill out a more official type of presentation to share with the class at the end of the class. Repeat learners will have a set of 5 completed mini-projects at the end of each topic. Each topic will provide 8 to 10 subjects they can choose to focus on in a single class. Since each class will complete 1 subject within the overall theme, learners can join and withdraw as needed. After exploring all themes, the class will cycle back through. Repeat learners will be able to choose the subjects they didn't use the first time.
