Watercolor Wander: Arte con medusas | Pintura con acuarela para principiantes con sal

Experiencia de clase

In this one time painting class, learners will paint watercolor jellyfish with step-by-step demonstrations. They will learn basic watercolor techniques and master them through painting exercises and experimentation. At the end of class, they will have a beautiful jellyfish painting and learnt techniques to inspire new watercolor paintings.

This class is perfect for beginner painters. Intermediate or advanced painters are also welcome to join.

Techniques covered:
- Mark making with a brush
- Wet on wet
- Using salt
- Splatter

Class Structure:
- Learners check-in and introduction to materials needed for class
- Demonstration and paint along of painting exercise
- Demonstration and paint along of jellyfish
- Learners share their creations to wrap up the class

During the paint along, learners are welcome to hold up their painting to the camera for gentle feedback. They are also encouraged to ask questions throughout the lesson through the microphone or chatbox. For classes of more than 3 learners, everyone’s microphone will be muted during instruction to avoid background noise. Learners will be asked to raise their hand before speaking.

- 2 pieces of paper: 8.5” x 11”, for watercolour or mixed media
- Size 10 round brush: which is about 1/4" (but it's okay if you have one that is a bit bigger or smaller :) 
- Watercolor paint: colors needed are yellow, blue, and red
- A spoonful of Salt
- A container of water
- Some paper towel
