Experiencia de clase

We are all artists! Students will learn the painting process by watching me as I do a live painting. I will teach them step by step and they will create it by their own while following my guidance. They will have the ability to interact with me live through conversation. I will work with the students to expand their knowledge of art, while also leading them on a fun artist journey! Class time is 40 minutes and it is encouraged to complete your painting if you do not finish in the allotted time. 

There is no art knowledge requirement. All you need is the materials!

Small, medium, and large brushes.
Pencil.

Plate (for mixing paint).

Hello and welcome to my profile! My name is Carter, and I am excited to take your students on a learning journey! I am a military spouse, as well as a new mom. I am also a dog mom to Bubba. I enjoy all things art and I am currently running my own art company. 

In 2017, I gradated from Loyola University Maryland with a minor in Studio Art and have been teaching and continuing my art passion since. I have worked for the past year teaching classes in the studio for children 4+ years old. I have lead one-on-one classes and taught classes as big as 30 children. 

I know to be true, that anyone can be an artist! I believe in working in a step-by-step approach, enabling each learner to follow along throughout the entire process. My main goal is to provide children with a creative outlet, while also gaining important artist skills! I encourage the students to practice creative techniques such as; mixing paint, shadowing, detailing etc. Many of our final works will be very vibrant in subject manner, as well as color. 

My goal for each class is to have fun! I do not want your children to feel stressed at any point, but instead take each class as an opportunity to unwind and have a creative release. I like to show how fun art can really be and looking forward to working with your kiddos!
