In this class, we read about spies in the Revolutionary War, Civil War, and WWII. The overarching objective is non-fiction comprehension, as we discuss this non-fiction topic of spies and their tools, gadgets, and missions in the three conflicts. Secondary objectives taught include vocabulary skills and non-fiction text features. The class also features extra spy handouts from my class, How to Be a Secret Agent Spy for Kids. These include cipher and invisible ink kits, spy ID cards, and other spy ideas to help any young spy create a spy team!

For more in-depth teaching of non-fiction text features and comprehension of each chapter, please see my spy book classes on my Outschool page.
