In this one time course, "super-readers" will master their short U sound. When young readers are learning to read, the trickiest part of decoding new words is figuring out what sound the vowel makes. In this class, "super-readers" will use their vowel super-powers and vowel shields to help them decode words. Using games, songs, and a multi-sensory approach, students will learn their vowel sounds while having fun! Students will learn to use the short U sound to decode and write words. **PLEASE BRING A WHITEBOARD AND EXPO MARKER***. A piece of paper and marker is okay, too. Students must know their consonant sounds prior to this course.
Metas de aprendizaje
Students will be able to read and write words with the short vowel /u/.
