Experiencia de clase

In this course for beginners, students will be taught the fundamentals to volleyball, the rules of the game, and key skills for playing. Each lesson will begin with a dynamic warm-up to get the student ready for physical activity. Then, students will work on a new volleyball skill each week. Students will practice the new skills with fun drills and games. We will end each lesson with a cool down stretch.

Students will need their own volleyball to practice new skills each week. In week one, they will learn passing. In week two, students will learn setting. In week three, students will learn serving. In week four, students will learn hitting. In week five, students will learn blocking. For each new skill, they'll also learn proper body and hand positions, footwork, and mechanics of each movement.

Throughout the weeks, students will gain information about how to play the game and what the rules are. They'll learn how to practice their new skills at home (alone and with others). At then end of the course, students will gain experience and confidence with their new skills!

Orientación para padres
For safety reasons, children should have an open area to perform the activity. As with any exercise program, there is always a potential risk of injury, so parental guidance is recommended. Parent interaction is encouraged to assist with certain skill activities.

- Open area for play with a wall to hit the ball on
- A parent or helper to catch the ball works, if a wall is not available
- Six floor markers (small objects like shoes, containers, cans, etc.)
- Water bottle
- Sneakers (closed-toe shoes)
