In this one time class, students will use the scientific method to learn about two different types of volcanoes as well as conduct our own experiment. Students will learn the difference between explosive and effusive volcanoes. They will use this knowledge to make some predictions about what type of volcano they think our experiment will be. Then using tin foil, a cup, vinegar dyed red, and baking soda, students will construct a volcano and make it erupt. We will then share our observations and conclusion about which type of volcano we created! **Some of my one time class science experiments may also be done during my ongoing Preschool science lab! Repeating experiments is a great way for little learners to delve deeper into the topic and test different variables!**

Hello to Everyone! My name is Miss Meghan and I can’t wait to meet your child. I enjoy teaching a variety of classes for preschool and early elementary ages.
I hold a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education. At the beginning of my career, I worked extensively with children with autism in home settings designing programs to help students access the world around them in an empowering way. After my oldest daughter was born, I became a licensed childcare provider creating a home away from home for many children to grow and learn. When my youngest daughter was born, I decided it was time to explore other options and that is how I landed at Outschool. I am so grateful for this opportunity and love meeting new learners from all over the world.
I have a passion for instilling a love of learning in young children through exposure, messy play, and fun! I strongly believe that letting children delve into learning at their own level and allowing for different types of learning styles sets children up for a life long learning journey.
In addition to teaching on Outschool, I also homeschool my two daughters who are my pride and joy. I feel so grateful to have a career that I love that also affords me the opportunity to spend time with my own children as well. In my free time, I enjoy art, brainstorming new lesson ideas, cross stitch, and reading!
