Experiencia de clase

In this seasonal course, students will explore the feisty characters for a short version of, "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever!" 
Each class will include a vocal warm-up and vocal exercises to practice alone, with a partner, or in small groups. 
Students will work on character development, including accent work, to play multiple roles.
Students will rehearse the play for their final performance. Each student will be assigned sound effects that they will need to perform using only their voices.
Memorization is not required.

Note: Students are expected to participate in all warm-ups, exercises, and performances. Parents will receive feedback about their child's overall performance after the last class.

Students will learn:
1. Proper voice technique for safety, character development, and performance.
2. How to work as an ensemble during rehearsal and the performance of the play.

I teach classes in Theatre and Voice Acting with an emphasis on fun and exploration!
 
I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education at the University of Utah. I have over 25 years of teaching experience in both traditional and nontraditional school settings. And, I currently hold a teaching license in secondary education in Theatre.

I am a lifelong learner and continue to look for ways to improve my teaching. My goal is to foster a friendly and safe environment for students to explore acting.

When I'm not teaching I love to sing karaoke, kickbox, spend time with my family, and snuggle with my kitties, Ozzie and MoMo.
