Have your learner explore different cultures around the world and learn Spanish at the same time! Each student will receive their very own ¡Viajemos! Passaporte upon enrollment. After each class, students will earn a new stamp for their passports based on the weekly theme! Course Info: This is a hybrid-immersion class, the class is taught mainly in Spanish w/ some English for clarification. We will learn the foundations of Spanish while exploring the Spanish-speaking world! The goal of this class is for students to explore the culture of different Spanish-speaking countries around the world while learning basic Spanish! Each week we will explore a new country! We will learn about the foods, people, and culture of each country through games, songs, and interactive activities! We will also make use of fun songs and some hands-on arts and crafts! The structure of each class ensures students will remain engaged and focused throughout the lesson. *Weekly Themes* Week of August 1st: México Week of August 8th: España (Spain) Week of August 15th: Colombia Week of August 22th: Peru Week of August 29th: Argentina (Future topics will be updated here) *Sample Class Structure* (Varies slightly each week to keep things fresh) *Introduction / classroom rules *Welcome song *Introduce / review theme *Introduce new topic *Practice new vocabulary (games, activities, songs, and more!) *Discuss this week's stamp! *Goodbyes

I received a B.A. in International Studies (European Studies) with a minor in Spanish language in 2018. My studies included subjects like history, politics, religion, geography, cultural studies, and economics. My minor studies included cultural education focused on Spanish-speaking countries. During university, I studied and lived abroad in Spain two separate times. I also grew up 15 minutes from the U.S.-Mexico border in a family of native Spanish speakers. From my experiences, I have gained knowledge in both Latin-American Spanish and Castilian (Spain) Spanish, as well as a deep understanding of the cultures of Spanish-speaking nations. I have worked as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher in-person and online for over 4 years.
