In this one-time class, learners will listen to the read aloud The Yuckiest, Stinkiest, Best Valentine Ever by Brenda A. Ferber. At the beginning of class, learners will introduce themselves. We will read the story and discuss vocabulary found in the story along with guessing what will happen next. After the story, learners will have the opportunity to discuss the story and story elements. We will discuss steps (first, next, then, last). We will then work on our Valentine activity (card). At the end of class, learners will show off their creations if time allows for it.
