What Will Be Taught? The role of religion in explaining natural phenomena and life events Specific deities and their influence in ancient Egypt, India, China, and Mesopotamia The impact of religious beliefs on governance, social structures, and daily life Ancestor worship and its significance in ancient Chinese culture The divine status of rulers, such as the Pharaohs in Egypt The creative and imaginative ways ancient people explained the world around them How is Your Class Structured? This class is structured to be dynamic and interactive, with a combination of lectures, engaging multimedia content, and interactive activities. Each session will build upon the last, providing a comprehensive understanding of how religion influenced ancient civilizations. How Will You Teach? My teaching style is a mix of humor, storytelling, and critical thinking. I’ll be using video clips, slides, and even a few games to keep things lively. Slides and Video Clips: Visual aids that will help illustrate complex concepts and keep the material engaging. Discussion: We’ll have open discussions where you can share your thoughts, ask questions, and debate the motives of ancient gods and rulers. Whether you're a history buff or just curious about how ancient people viewed their world, this class promises to be an enlightening and entertaining journey through time.
