Experiencia de clase

In this 5-day camp, we will make 7 of my unicorn creations. Two creations are not shown in my updated class photo.

Instruction will be completed through the instructor personally demonstrating and guiding students through each step of the creation process live, on camera to guide the students in creating their own pieces.

These are the specific items we will make each day in the camp:

Monday: 1. Unicorn Jar

Tuesday: 2. Glitter Unicorn Crayon Resist

Wednesday: 3. Edible Unicorn Horn (not pictured) 4. Unicorn Painted Rocks Begin

Thursday: 4. Unicorn Painted Rocks Finish 5. Unicorn toilet Tissue Recycle Craft

Friday: 6. Fluffy unicorn Slime (not pictured) 7. Glitter Unicorn Outline

Specific items needed for each day will be listed in the classroom.

Younger students depending on skill level may need assistance.

It might be necessary for me to miss class and schedule a Saturday makeup class at the usual class time if my 6-year-old daughter is scheduled to work (modeling and acting). She typically has one booking per month taking up part of a day. That part of the day may or may not fall during this class. .

I enjoy incorporating educational opportunities into fun activities. For example, my Girls’ Coloring Social Club hides science, geography, social studies, arts, communication and history.

My teaching style preference is a homeschool approach emphasizing respectful for the child by allowing children to speak during classes rather than instituting abject muting. Students are treated like they and their ideas are important. Students are able to learn proper socialization skills over time through this teaching method.

Occasionally, I will need to cancel class with only a few days notice to travel for work or to meet family responsibilities. If this may be an issue, please consider it before enrolling.

CLASS RULES

All of my classes have the same classroom rules:
Be kind to each other
Don’t speak over others
Allow everyone a chance to speak
Mute yourself if you have background noise so we can hear each other
You do not have to raise your hand to speak but if someone is speaking and you’d like to speak, raise your hand so I know to call on you next

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT

It detracts from the learning experience of students and from my teaching when I have a student attending classes who refuses to adhere to the class rules.

Noncomplying students will be corrected (muted in extreme cases) and reminded of the class rules 3 times each class before being sent to the waiting room. If a student is sent to the waiting room, a message will be sent to the parent after class about the classroom issues with the student. If a student is sent to the waiting room during 2 classes, the student will be withdrawn from class.
