Want to develop your character and figure drawing skills?

Want to impress your friends with incredible action-packed art, grow in creative confidence, and make character art that you're proud of?

Then join the weekly Ultimate Character Battle Class, where you will learn how to draw epic character battle posters every single week. We'll cover everything from character
shape, forms, figure anatomy, perspective, foreshortening and more. Drop in any week or stay for multiple--you'll learn a new technique and leave with art you’re proud of!

This class is for lovers of iconic characters from Anime, Comics, Games and more. This class is for people with awesome character battle ideas that want to learn how to draw dynamic poses and compositions.

Both beginners and advanced artists alike are welcome!

Students will learn how to draw each character from start to finish and how to combine what we learn (in each lesson and together) into exciting compositions you would want to hang on your wall. We will explore the compositions and poses from popular comic,
anime and concept artists to determine how to create dynamic compositions. We will use our understanding of character art and compositions to make exciting character battle posters.

You'll even be apply to apply your learning to your own characters or stories that may include action poses.

Each class we will spin a wheel to determine the genre and characters we will draw from.

Genre: Games, Movies, Comics, Anime, Cartoons
Characters: Games: Mario/ Anime: Sailor Moon

We will warm up with a study of each chosen character's shape language. We will do sketches of the pose the characters will embody using an expressive stick figure and the shape language of the characters on top. We will render the sketch with details, ink our linework and erase pencil marks. Share our work and give feedback to one another.

Each class will feature 2 new characters in new poses. Students will understand the shapes and forms used to design characters in order to place iconic characters in epic battle poses.

This class is continuous and welcomes new learners every single week. You can join at any point and not miss a beat. You can drop in for just a week or stay as long as you'd like. Many learners join and stay for 20, 30, 40 weeks or more! Lessons exist as stand-alone topics, but the longer you stay, the more techniques you'll learn, and the more your skills will grow.

Here are examples of lesson topics that you will find in this class:
Goku vs Superman
Pikachu vs Jake the Dog
Miles Morales vs Deku
Mario vs Crash Bandicoot
Sailor Moon vs Samus

NOTE: Classes are often adjusted to cater to the needs and interests of enrolled learners, so feel free to message us for any clarifications or to know the topic of upcoming lessons.
