Students will be given 8 lessons in trigonometry. Practice problems will be done in class with and without partners. Homework will be assigned on each lesson to reinforce the concepts. Homework will be gone over in class and students will have time for questions
Lesson 1) Right Triangle Trig (SOHCAHTOA) with a review of the Pythagorean Theorem
Lesson 2) Solving right triangles and Inverse Trig
Lesson 3) Unit circle Trig and the 2 special right triangles
Lesson 4) Graphing the Sine and Cosine waves, period, amplitude
Lesson 5) Graphing the Tangent, vertical asymptotes
Lesson 6) Law of Sines
Lesson 7) Law of Cosines
Lesson 8) Review of all topics

Metas de aprendizaje

Students will be able to: solve right triangles (finding all missing parts); find the sine, cosine, and tangent of various angles on the unit circle; graph the sine, cosine and tangent waves; find the period, amplitude, and vertical asymptotes of the graphs; and use the Law of Sines or the Law of Cosines to solve non-right triangles.
