In today's class we will explore trains from the first locomotive built in 1804 to the high speed bullet train. Students will be encouraged to share and discuss during this class. We will use the book: The Big Book of Trains-Discover the Biggest, Fastest and Longest Engines by DK Publishing. This book includes information on powerful steam engines, hanging monorails, and super fast bullet trains. At the beginning of class students will be encouraged to share what they know about trains with the teacher and other learners. By the end of class we will share what we have learned.
