Santa needs help! His sleigh is missing and the elves are on strike. He turns to our class as his helpers for creative ideas on how to solve his problem which we will do in a mad lib style story. Throughout the class he will issue challenges such as What's under the Tree-where learners will have to use critical thinking to figure out what he left them though a variety of hints. We will also do activities such as Identify the Christmas Song & Which Present has coal vs chocolates. Christmas is always best with goodies, so if time allows, each learner will express their preferences as we verbally create our favorite Christmas cupcakes, toppings and all! Would you Rather, Christmas Edition will break the ice as well as requesting what they would like for Christmas as Santa makes his naughty or nice list. Finally, the Grinch steals items from your presents and learners will have to use their memory skills to figure out what's missing. The class will be very interactive and will use google slides as well as outside props such as stockings, presents & Santa. As the teacher I will be guiding students to participate, interact and engage. Most of all, students should expect to have a great time!

Hi I’m Bonnie. It’s nice to meet you and thank you for checking out my profile! You’re probably wondering what you can expect in my class. I believe that there are three key ingredients that makes for successful learning. First, the lesson should be interactive, engaging and entertaining. Being an online teacher for 2.5 years, I have learned the value of keeping kids actively engaged during class. (This is especially important online.) Second is valuing each student for their unique qualities so they feel comfortable in class. Kids should be at ease to speak up or not. There are some children who prefer to listen first before participating. Third, is a high energy class with someone who is excited about their topic. You can expect to see these key things in my classes!
Some facts about me:
*I graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Physical Education.
*I have been a Career Coach and Recruiter for 15 years (Perfect for developing my passion of “People Science” or learning how people effectively interact and communicate with each other through verbal and non-verbal cues.)
*Taught ESL and Science online to kids in China. I have my TESOL certification from International Open Academy.
*Taught a volunteer preschool program as well as an afterschool arts and crafts class.
