El ascenso de Tiamat: campaña de enseñanza de D&D (avanzada)

Hi! This class is going to be structured in the same away that a Dungeons and Dragons campaign is ran; our first session together will be setting the scene of the story and quests they need to take care, learning how they want to play the game, and get the students familiar with each other and their game characters they are playing. From that point forward, the students will work together to decide on what to do next; will they go chase down a group of people trying to steal a magical crystal, destroy a beacon necessary for the ritual, or go and try to negotiate peace terms with a group that can be potential. With teaching the game, comes many opportunities for your student to ask questions; how does this spell work? Will the ability be helpful in this scene? Can we talk to each other before doing the activity? Not only are they encouraged to ask questions in my class, they are also encouraged to communicate with each other to come up with plans on how to handle the various situations that come up in a multi-week campaign. They also get to stretch their imaginations but also thinking and acting in character as well; what does your character say? What do they think? How would they act if this creature came running toward them? With these kinds of questions, the students then have to look at the character they made, the items they have, and the abilities they have to know what the character can and cannot do. Please see the general schedule of how each week will look like for your child and an overview of the story as well. Your child will need a level 16 character to participate as there is much more in depth threats and elements to this campaign. 

Class 1, Feb 10: Session 0- setting the scene of the story, getting to know the characters and students
Class 2, Feb 17: Session 1- the campaign begins with a meeting in Waterdeep with the high rulers and councilors of the city
Class 3, Feb 24: Session 2- going towards the first mission and beginning the resolution of the mission
Class 4, Mar 3: Session 3- resolution of previous mission, reporting back to the councilors
Class 5, Mar 10: Session 4- update on overall quest, options for the next quest are presented
Class 6, Mar 17: Session 5- going towards and starting the next mission
Class 7, Mar 24: Session 6- resolution of current mission and returning to Waterdeep
Class 8, Mar 31st: Session 7- meeting with councilors, update on main storyline, more quests are presented
Class 9, Apr 7th: Session 8- going towards and starting the next mission
Class 10, Apr 14th: Session 9- resolution of conflict and returning to Waterdeep
Class 11, April 21st: Session 10- huge update from councilors on current objective, options presented for the finale of the campaign
Class 12, April 28th: Session 11- characters make choice on the options presented, and head to the final area and mission
Class 13, May 5th: Session 12- final area and mission continues until resolution
Class 14, May 12th: Session 13- final results, final rewards, and what's next?
