Experiencia de clase

Magic. Spells. Potions. Join me in this very fun cooking class where we talk about our favorite magical stories while we make the most delicious foods. This is perfect for the student with a big imagination and love of magical stories.

Students will learn basic kitchen skills including food and kitchen safety as well as knife skills. Cooking is one of the most important life skills of all. This class is a few way to expand those skills. Throughout the class, the students will also have the opportunity to practice their math skills through measuring, and at times weighing items. Students will need to use a stove top and a knife in the course of this class.

Students will be using the stove top during this class. Part of the class will be learning about kitchen safety, but there is always a risk of injury when working with these items. Younger students may need some assistance. If your child has any allergies, please review the ingredient list for high allergy foods. Parents should be around to monitor the students while they cook.

I have more than ten years experience working with kids. I have a Bachelor's degree in English. I also have a Master's degree in Library and Informational Sciences specializing in school library media. When I completed my Master's program, I receiving a teaching certificate in the state of Virginia.

Before my career in education, I worked as a newspaper reporter. I still love reading a daily newspaper, and I am very passionate about current events.

I also love to cook and bake, and I'm really good at it. I even have my own wheat grinder and make my own bread. It's not all healthy, though. I can make some of the best tasting ice cream in the world! Check out some of my cooking classes, and I'll teach you all you need to know!

Please come join me in one of my classes! I'd love to see you soon!
