Secret Agents... A train is en route from Boston, Massachusetts to Albany, New York after midnight. You have been knocked out and find yourself propped up on a train car platform as the train moves quietly along in the night. Your mission is to find clues and evidence from train car to train car in order to escape. Can you complete this mission? Learners will be given the clues before class begins in order to work together as a team to escape the train. I will be reading the story to the class as we all escape together. No experience is necessary to play.

About Me
A Bit About Me
I am passionate about education, my family and my friends! My husband, three children and I live in beautiful New Hampshire! We are an active homeschool family and enjoy our free time together reading, watching movies, playing games or exploring the White Mountains! I also run one of the largest homeschool groups!
My Qualifications
I earned my Masters in Teaching from Framingham State and earned certificates in Child Psychology and Children’s Literature. I am also a published poet and have written three books.
My Experience
I am an experienced educator, as I have spent over 30 years in the education of children. I have worked for 10 years as a public school teacher. I currently home-school my three children who are 8, 12 and 15 and have for the past 5 years. I have taught poetry classes in my home-school group and enjoy seeing each child succeed.
I am also a certified Dog Trainer and hold many degrees and certificates in dog walking, training, veterinary studies and pet care.
My Philosophy of Education
My philosophy of education is to do what works! As a teacher, it is my job to get to know my students and find out what works for each one! Students are individuals, and each one learns in their own unique way. I use multiple methods of teaching. (linguistic, visual, auditory, kinesthetic ) to reach students, so that everyone has an opportunity to connect and learn.
My ultimate goal as an educator is to bring my students into independence with their learning. I believe that all children are unique and have a lot they can bring to their own education. As a teacher, I want to empower my students with solid strategies for learning. To this end, my instruction starts with guiding students into deeper thinking, observation and experiences.
Classes I teach
I teach classes I am excited about because my passion for a subject makes it fun for the kids and me! My favorite thing to teach about is poetry or anything connected to writing! I truly want my students to learn and grow so I am happy to do what it takes to make that happen. It is so important for each student to feel proud at the end of the course.
