Experiencia de clase

This is a flexible schedule class. There will be NO LIVE MEETINGS.
All interaction will occur inside the Outschool Classroom area.
The course materials for the week will be posted in the classroom at the beginning of each week of the course.

Each week will study a period of art history and how cats were represented during it. We will learn about the time period and the artworks from it that depict cats as well as the changing role of cats in the lives of humans throughout the ages. Specific artists will be discussed as well. We will create a piece of artwork representative of the time period we are discussing each week. Step by step lessons will be presented in a video format via a combination of a Keynote/Powerpoint slide presentation and demonstration. Lessons will be a step-by-step follow along format. A PDF version of the presentation will also be available for download. Students will have the whole week to complete their projects on their own time.

Videos relating to connected subject matter, including the history of cat domestication and cat science will be linked for students to view on their own schedule. Students will be asked comprehension questions regarding each of the linked videos on the website Edpuzzle. These questions are asked and assessed within each video assigned on EdPuzzle.
