Experiencia de clase

In this one time class, artists will follow a directed draw to create a fox illustration. Artists will practice proportion, composition, line, and color.  This course is designed to have students use their creativity to turn the lesson into their own, one of a kind creation! This is a great illustration for beginning artists as it uses a lot of shapes to draw. 

No prior knowledge is needed for this introductory class.  My classes are designed to be engaging and fun.  Artists are encouraged to share their creation, but not required.  My goal is to create a safe space for artists to feel confident to share and express themselves.

Welcome to my classroom!  I can’t not wait to meet your children! I have been a K-12 teacher for 17 years, and have taught online classes for the last 3 years. Before moving into the classroom I was a zookeeper and wildlife educator.  I  took animals all around the country teaching the public about how awesome they are. I’ve even worked on movies, taken animals on the tonight show, and appeared on a Animal Planet show!  Each summer I work for a science camp and train teachers to have more fun with science.  

I have always loved nature, animals, science and the outdoors.  I’m passionate about making learning relatable and fun.  I want to not only teach my students something but I want to instill in them a love of learning.  

Science, Art, History, and Literature are some of my favorite things to teach.  I include creative arts throughout my curriculum.  My teaching is a multifaceted approach where I include activities for visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners.
