Does your child love to ask questions? Then this is the perfect class for them! In this ongoing class we will play 20 questions and try to figure out the answer before we run out of questions. Depending on how quickly the students guess the correct answer multiple rounds may be played. As the class progresses we will vote on upcoming themes for the class and ensure that everyone gets a chance to make a suggestion. Topics will cover foods, animals, video games, t.v. shows/characters, movies, locations etc. The students will work together and attempt to find the best questions to solve the mystery! My class setting is a relaxed, fun, open space for students to be able to discuss and express their thoughts about what we are learning. I encourage student interaction with not only myself but with their fellow classmates. Everyone is expected to be respectful and listen to one another but also feel like they have the ability to share their own thoughts and opinions. I believe learning should be fun and try to provide a space for that to happen. Students will learn to think through their questions and thoughtfully figure out the best questions to ask, alone and as a group. By asking questions they will learn about that classes topic in more depth while having a great time. They will make friends and learn to work as a team and will get a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction when they solve the mystery.

Hi! I love to teach classes that are fun and promote discussion and creativity. In all of my classes I mix critical thinking with out of the box thinking so that the kids learn something brand new! I find the best way to do this is by using books, video games, trivia and other interactive components to keep them engaged and wanting to learn.
My passion for critical thought stems from my degree in Philosophy. The integration of pop culture in my classes is rooted in a lifetime of toy collecting, video game playing, and during my time as a staff writer for an online comic book review site. Over the past five years I have created community-based, pop-up craft classes for parents and children that integrate culture and thought, and I am excited about the opportunity to share these types of activities with my students!
Outside of teaching I enjoy spending time with my husband, son and three cats! I like online gaming and spending a lot of time crafting.
