In this 5-week class, we will enjoy practicing yoga poses, mindfulness activities, and meditations that are healthy for the body, mind, and spirit. This is a fun way to try yoga, a wonderful complement to other sports/activities, and a perfect way to add some calm to those often busy summer days. Yoga has so many incredible benefits. Among many things, yoga poses can give us a wonderful stretch: gently releasing tightness and tension in our muscles, helping to increase our range of motion, and keeping our bodies feeling relaxed, healthy, and strong. Mindfulness and meditation will also be integral parts of our practice. They can lower stress, clear our minds, help us be more positive, improve our focus, and so much more. Each week, our live meeting will consist of the following: yogic breathing, warm up Sun Salutations, a new variety of yoga poses, a fun mindfulness activity, a unique meditation, and a quiet period of relaxation also known as Savasana. Please know, no experience is ever necessary. I always can offer different versions of poses, allowing us to choose the positions that feel good to us on any given day, no matter our experience level. Yoga should be stress-free, and I work hard to make sure that my class definitely is. I am looking forward to practicing with everyone. Happy summer!

Yoga is a wonderfully beneficial activity for the body, mind, and spirit, and it should never feel uncomfortable. Following class, students may choose to continue practicing the poses and techniques on their own; in that case, please be sure to provide proper adult supervision. Also, please refer to the Supply List for additional information about materials, space needed, etc.
