Hello, 
I am Teacher Heather! I am very excited to be on this learning journey with you. I am a full-time educator, with 20 years of experience. I have 4 amazing children. My three oldest children are in college, and my youngest son is currently in 8th grade. I love to be outdoors. I enjoy running, hiking, sporting events, and spending time with my family. 

I have a wide variety of expertise to share with my learners. My classes will focus on stories with art projects, ESL learning, elementary math, reading fluency, reading strategies, writing foundations, building confidence in young adults, and 1:1 tutoring. 

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services (Family and Children Services), a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Minor in STEM Education. I have 5 years of ESL teaching experience. I have also been a 1:1 tutor for 6 years, working with elementary-aged students.

I believe learning should be engaging and fun. The students in my class will have fun while being engaged. My goal is for your student to learn confidently while understanding educational content. I want to make the most of our time spent together, and hopefully, your child will apply the silks learned after leaving our class together.
