This ongoing Summer Math Camp is an interactive review of 3rd & 4th Grade Math standards that meets 3X a week, setting a solid foundation so learners can reach higher math proficiency. Don't lose everything you learned all year. Review here with us this summer. This Summer Math Camp is appropriate for 3rd graders and 4th graders and learners who may need to review and strengthen math concepts taught in the third & fourth grade math curriculum. Third and fourth grades are big years for learning math! In the camp, learners review place value, addition with 2 and 3-digit addends, count with numbers in the ten thousands, millions; subtract 2 & 3 digit numbers, learn about multiplication and division, dive a little into fractions, read and calculate word problems, learn about time and money. Now that third graders understand addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are on the horizon. Learners who are ready will learn to use all four operations to solve word problems, learn to read problems, decide which operation they should use and work on solving two-step problems independently. This is a fun camp where learners will sing, hear stories and meet number characters that will help them remember math facts. They'll have math drills, too, quizzes, flash card review and math games with friendly competition. Don't lose what you've learned all year. Keep your learning going and join us for Summer MATH Camp - Grades 3 & 4 MATH Fun Review. Each week has new math skills and concepts, activities and material so learners can begin at any time. This summer review camp is ongoing for ten weeks, three days a week. Learners benefit most by transitioning through all ten weeks but learners can enroll at any time during the camp. When learners are ready to take a year long course designed primarily to supplement their math curriculum in school or use as part of their home school math curriculum, learners can transition to my "3rd Grade MATH Year Long Curriculum" or "MATH Fact Families: Learn Multiplication & Division Facts the FUN Way." Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Maestría en Educación desde Indiana University
Being an educator for forty + years, I've taught all subjects to students K-8 which included math classes at all levels. I've taught special needs students and designed full curriculum for K-12 students. In addition, I have taught students online for seven years. When I was a young student, I thought I didn't like math because any thing above addition and subtraction seemed a little hard for me. The truth was, I didn't understand the fundamentals of math operations, even though I could calculate and get the right answers every time when adding or subtracting. This is why I am so passionate about learners understanding the concept and relationship to numbers and operations, because once they understand that, learners can build on the basic fundamentals taught at this age and excel in Math and really begin to love it as I do now.
