Get ready for storytime! Students will first learn some animal names and fruit names in Japanese. Then, they will listen to a short story that uses the names of the animals and fruits they have learned. Through the personalization of the animals, they will also learn the proper way to address people in Japanese. After the story, students will share with their classmates their favorite fruit or animal. In my class, I believe in learning and having fun. While having fun, however, we will also practice classroom etiquette. Let's get ready to read, learn some Japanese, and have fun!

I have lived in Japan for five years. I obtained Japanese Language Proficiency Test Certificates for the N3, N4, and N5 levels. And have been teaching Japanese in various capacities. I also possess a TESOL certificate and have taught ESL English for over eight years. I have experience teaching kids from 3-15 years of age. In my class, it is vital that students feel welcome and excited about learning. I do this by engaging with the students and providing encouragement and simple rewards throughout the class.
