In this 4 day Stock Market course , students will work together to create and manage a virtual investment portfolio of real world stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. Students will be given $100,000 in virtual cash to begin investing / trading stocks. Each student is responsible for researching and evaluating potential investments. I am licensed and certified educator in Business Technology & Business Education, Special Education Instructional Specialist, Family & Consumer Sciences, and a graduate of the Career and Technical Education Leadership Academy and ESL Instructor and certifications in TEFL/TESL/TESOL. . I am also an entrepreneur, small business owner, W!SE Financial Literacy Instructor, Serv-Safe Instructor, and I hold a Master's Degree in Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Radiology Health Management. I am an advocate of Career and Technical Education (CTE), life skill classes that are designed to provide students the knowledge and skills necessary for everyday living. As a state licensed Business Education Instructor and attendee of the New York Stock Exchange Teacher Education Program, I am excited to share my knowledge of how the stock market works for beginners. I spent a week with extensive interaction on the NYSE trading floor. My stock market game past participants earned 1st place in the state stock market game simulations with the highest percentage of profits competing against over 1200 teams. All of Apples2Zippers Learning Academy teachers are licensed, certified educators.
Please be prepared to help your learner set up their device before class starts so learners can see and toggle between the Zoom window and their web browser during class. Learners will receive username and password to their virtual stock market simulation trading challenge, where they will practice buy and selling real time stocks with virtual 100K cash.
Students will use Market Watch for stock simulation.
