Experiencia de clase

**please note I am mostly listing this as a multi-day/camp style class that is scheduled to meet 1x/week you can view the schedule by clicking the link below:
 https://outschool.com/classes/super-safety-camp-strangers-and-tricky-people-and-being-the-boss-of-my-body-bu9zPfb7?usid=VbdChdTp&signup=true&utm_campaign=share_activity_link

Additionally, I have created a FLEX-style course that is self-paced, with prerecorded lessons. There are no live classes for this format. You can access the FLEX course here: https://outschool.com/classes/safety-strangers-and-tricky-people-io1xxgIh?usid=VbdChdTp&signup=true&utm_campaign=share_activity_link

Welcome to the first class of a comprehensive five-class series focused on safety with strangers and tricky people. It is strongly recommended that your learners take these classes in sequential order, as each class builds upon the knowledge gained in the previous ones.

I designed the one-time classes to offer flexibility in learners' schedules and allow you to pace the content as you see fit.

In this five-class series, learners will explore information and scenarios to enhance their awareness and understanding of safety with strangers and tricky people.

After each class, learners will have access to optional extension activities that will be posted directly in the classroom.

PART 1: Defining Strangers & Tricky People

The goal of Part 1 is to create an engaging and relaxed learning environment while introducing fundamental concepts about strangers and tricky people.

Discussion Points:
Students will be introduced to the concept of becoming "Tricky People Detectives," adding an element of fun to the training course. We will discuss the definition of strangers and popular safety rules related to interacting with strangers.
Learners will understand that tricky people can be strangers or even people they know, including "big kids" and adults.
We will learn how to spot tricky people by paying attention to various clues, which will be covered throughout the course.
The focus of learning about this topic is not to instill fear but rather to prepare ourselves "just in case." I will provide examples of how we approach safety education in a proactive manner.
We will explore the concept of "trusted adults," and learners will be encouraged to complete a section in their "detective notebooks" to identify their trusted adults. (notebooks will be sent in the welcome email and posted in the classroom after class.)
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Metas de aprendizaje
Students will understand the concept of tricky people and why it is important to learn about them.

Orientación para padres
Please read my class description thoroughly to understand how I approach this topic and the things discussed. I take great care in making the topic fun and not scary. Empowering my learners to understand that we prepare for safety in a variety of areas in life "just in case". There will be no discussion of inappropriate touching of private parts--rather a guide for parents to discuss these things as they see fit in their own way (see the link provided in the class description). In this series, I discuss touching in a basic way (kiss, hug, sitting too close, touching leg, sitting on someone's lap, and tickling). I highly encourage trusted adults to follow up this class with a conversation about the possibility of tricky people being people they know. This series opens the door for you to have a chat with your learner(s) about appropriate physical touch.
Lista de útiles escolares
