In this fun and interactive Mandalorian-based class, students will be able to learn simple yoga poses with names relating to the Mandalorian series, including Baby Yoda (The Child). Bring your stuffed Star Wars toys and they will join us in using the Force to learn these Mandalorain/ Yoda yoga poses and moves. My Baby Yoda will be joining us and loves to meet new friends! Class Structure: Intro Star Wars mini discussion Yoga Workout: including a warm up, workout, and cool down focused on breathing and flexibility Share: Students may share their favorite yoga move or character from the Star Wars films or share what they brought to class Yoga provides many benefits including: increased flexibility. increased muscle strength and tone. improved respiration, energy, and vitality. maintaining a balanced metabolism. weight reduction. cardio and circulatory health. improved athletic performance. protection from injury. This class is great for beginners who want to learn some fun yoga moves with Baby Yoda while being able to use the Force. Please make sure to have water for class and either a yoga mat or carpeted area. Students are welcome to dress up or wear comfortable clothing. "This is the Way." My name is Alyssa. I’m a Top Educator on the Outschool platform.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Utah State University with my Bachelor's of Science Degree in Family Life/Child Development. I have an instructor’s license as well as TESOL and TEFL certifications.
I am very excited to meet you! I have been teaching or tutoring since 2010. I love to teach fitness, music, ESL, math, reading, cosmetology (hair, skin, and nails), and anything to do with Disney, especially Star Wars! I am proud to be the original instructor of the Star Wars Jedi workouts for Outschool! I like lightsaber training and finding fun and cool ways to help kids get moving and become more involved with fitness! I have worked with all ages, but working with children is my favorite!
Outside of teaching I love to read, run, swim, go on vacation, and play with my children. I have such a passion for teaching and learning. I am a teacher who loves precision and exactness, while still having a lot of fun! I enjoy incorporating singing, dancing, laughter, and excitement into my classes, while making new friends along the way. It is such a joy when my students learn a new concept or skill. I am energetic and always try my best to help my students succeed. I look forward to our fun adventures ahead in learning together! See ya real soon!
