Let's learn about color theory and create a beautiful wax-resist watercolor painting together! In this lesson, students will learn about primary and secondary colors. After we discuss the basics of color theory, we will create an outline of a spider web. Students have the option to write a word in the spider web (like in Charlotte's Web). We trace the pencil lines with a white crayon. Next, we add a creepy spider using a black crayon. Then it's time to paint! We use watercolor paints to fill in the primary and secondary colors. Because we outlined the web and spider with crayons, students will observe how the wax-resist water technique works. This lesson is great for beginner artists that are new to color theory and watercolor painting. I look forward to seeing you in class. **This class will not be cancelled due to low enrollment.
