We recommend that your learner has a basic understanding of spelling common words before signing up for the class.

Words that we may use are: camera, apple, insect, plane.  Though sometimes we may spell larger words like "orange", "jumping", "carrot" and even longer words depending on the level of the learners.

Learners will be verbally told a word to spell along with being shown a "fill-in-the-blank" or or missing letters. They will then spell the word and share it with the class. 

Learners will be instructed on how to spell the word properly if it is incorrect. 

Pending learner agreement, we may have a contest between all the other learners to determine a winner. This may/may not happen each lesson. We use words with up to 10+ letters such as "headphones" and words with 5 letters such as "mouse". We try to have a variety of spelling words each week to be a challenge for our learners.
