Introducción al español: a tu propio ritmo

Students will learn basic vocabulary, questions and pronunciation in Spanish. 

Each class will include :
- A prerecorded video lesson by the teacher. Video is interactive with questions that students can answer while they are watching the lesson. 

- A project which include posting a short video to practice the pronunciation of some words or a conversations in Spanish. I will provide personalized feedback about it. Students will use Outschool recording feature on Classroom to post the video.

-A discussion questions assignment to encourage student-to-student interaction on Classroom. 

- A vocabulary list of each class to remember the information.

Students will need 30 to 45 minutes to complete their work for each class. 

Topics for this class are :
Section 1: 
-How to introduce yourself in Spanish 
-Practice some questions in Spanish : What is your name ?, where are you from ?, what is your favorite color?
-Some colors
-Pronunciations : A, E, I, 
Homework :
-Project 1 : Record a short video to Introduce yourself in Spanish. 
-Discussion questions # 1 : ¿Cuál es tu nombre ?, ¿De dónde eres ?, ¿Cuál es tu color favorito ?. Students will post at least one question on Classroom and they will answer at least one question from their peers.

Section 2: 
-My pets
-Numbers from 1 to 15
- I have, He has, She has
-How old are you?
-How old is your pet ?
-Pronunciation of the letters : G, J 
Homework :
-Project 2 : Record a short video counting until 15 in Spanish. Choose one of the following activities or add your own one : 15 steps, 15 jumps, 15 jumping jacks, eating 15 grapes etc. 
-Discussion questions # 2 : ¿Cuántos años tienes?, ¿Tienes mascotas?, ¿Cuántos años tiene tu mascota ? 

Section 3:
-The fruits 
-More colors
- What is my favorite fruit ?
-Who is your best friend ? 
- Spelling the name of your friend
-what do you like to play ? 
-Pronunciation : R, RR
Homework :
-Project 3: Record a short video pronouncing and spelling the name of your best friend
-Discussion questions # 3 :  What is my favorite fruit ?, Who is your best friend ?, what do you like to play ?

-Vocabulary review
-Questions review 
- Some adjectives to describe yourself 
-  ¿Cómo eres tú?
-Month of the year
-When is your birthday ?
Homework :
-Project 4 : Record a video presenting yourself in Spanish. Use all the information you have learned in this class to do your presentation.
