Experiencia de clase

This is a continuation of the Spanish Immersion Kindergarten, broken down into 4 quarters for a full year curriculum. Each quarter builds on the previous quarters and culminate in covering all Kindergarten skills in literacy, math, and science in Spanish. This is Part 2 and will continue building upon the foundation of letters, syllables, and reading; phonemic awareness; numbers; and biology topics. Art and music will be integrated throughout the topics.

This class can:
1) introduce your child to Spanish through kindergarten content
2) be your main Spanish teaching program with you supplementing at home
3) or be a supplement to your homeschool or child's school program.

Each day we will have a short lesson in literacy, math, and either science, art/music, or social studies. We will have a short break between each subject. There will be a combination of sit-down and active movement, and games, songs, and/or stories in each class to keep children engaged.
- Songs to remember: the alphabet, numbers, days of the week, months of the year etc.
- Authentic songs like "Debajo de un Botón," will be sung
- Authentic literature and poetry, such as "Lunes Antes de Almorzar" will be read and used as a basis for cooperative writing activities
- Familiar translated stories, such as "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" may also be used
