Exploradores españoles (Preescolar – K) 1.º - 2.º grado

This class is for kids 3 - 7 years old

Week 1 Students will learn basic greetings and introductions as well as numbers 1-10.  
Week 2  Colors and also how to talk about their favorite color. Making complete sentences
Week 3 Food and preferences
Week 4 Senses and parts of the face 
Week 5 Wild animals and exploring the jungle. 
Week 6 Mariners explores: sea animals
Week 7 family members and pets.
Week 8  Weather and seasons. 
Week 9 Parts of the face; feelings 
Week 10 Parts of the body
Week 11 Holidays around Southamerica
Week 12 days of the week and talk about what they do on certain days.
Week 13  Parts of a house and furniture.  
Week 14  common verbs and how to use them in sentences. 
Week 15 transportation/travel.
Week 16  how to use adjectives to describe people and things.

The classes restart on week one

I will set up additional classes for students who have completed all scheduled weeks  of my program, I will create new class listings that cater to the needs of these learners.

This is a conversational class with an emphasis on student talk time,  I ask lots of questions throughout the class so that every student gets a chance to be heard and share their thoughts while still maintaining a structured classroom environment.  I prefer to leave students unmuted as long as they are raising their hand and there is no distracting background noise.  I look forward to seeing you in the classroom! 

BEFORE THE SESSION:

✔️When signing into the platform, please make sure to display your child's name (the same one you registered them with), so that we can allow them into the session. 
✔️Please make sure the student knows how to use Zoom. Show them where the chat feature is and how to mute and unmute. 
✔️Camera and microphone should be on at the start of the class. We need to verify all learners through a video check for safety reasons. 

DURING THE SESSION:

✔️If you are sitting in the room with your child, we ask that you do not distract them by encouraging them to speak Spanish or 
helping them as it may disrupt the flow of the group. If your child wants/must answer a question in English, needs help, or is feeling shy, we will support them. 
✔️Only the student enrolled can be seen on camera.
✔️Please make sure the student is in a quiet environment. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE CLASS
✔️We always teach the material the first day of the week and practice the second day of the week, so if your learner misses the first class of any given week, make sure they watch the recording and work on the games and activities before their second class. 
✔️Practicing outside of class is vital.
✔️We play educational games during class, and these resources are incredibly valuable. Your learner may need help during class with accessing some of them (e.g.Blooket). In that case, they will be given an access code. No need to sign up! and We also use Youtube kids to see some videos The websites is:
