This class utilizes All About Space Explore the Universe fun-schooling workbook by The Thinking Tree. All learners will be expected to purchase a copy of the handbook and bring it to class weekly. This is a fabulous way to learn with a licensed science teacher about everything outer space at an elementary level.
During each class we will complete several pages of the book covering the weekly topic. The workbook includes hands-on experiments that are optional for families and will not be completed in class. Students can expect class time to be filled with fun facts, trivia, and time to doodle or draw as students share their thoughts. Everyone is encouraged (but not required) to contribute. They will be given a chance to share information from library books, or other resources they have collected.
For our last class, students will be invited to bring space rovers that they built outside of class to show and tell, or bring supplies to build a space rover during class (legos, bottle caps, toilet paper rolls, etc. are all great supplies!) 
I am an incredibly easy-going teacher and am comfortable adapting to each child's needs. Some children may choose to write more, draw more, participate more or less, and that is okay!
