In this one-time class, students will learn about space.  The students will view different pictures of planets and galaxies, and learn a few interesting space facts/jokes on a Google Slide presentation.   

The students will create an abstract art project inspired by space. The students will create a space collage/painting.  The teacher will interact with each student throughout the class and monitor their progress.  The students will follow along with the teacher step-by-step on the teacher's document camera.  The teacher will model each step for this collage/painting lesson visually and verbally.  The teacher will give the students design techniques, ideas, examples, and encourage them to use their own imaginations to make this artwork their own.  

The students will view a google slides presentation on space.  The students will learn some interesting facts about space and hear a few funny space jokes.  

Before the class ends, the students will be encouraged to share their artwork with the other students in the class and interact with them socially. 

Zoom- Please make sure to log into your Zoom Class a few minutes prior to the class start time.  You will be placed in the waiting room right before class starts.  During this time, make sure your child’s name is displayed in your Zoom link (this will make it easier for me to call on your child during class), test your audio, and make sure your laptop is plugged in or you have enough battery life.
