Hello & welcome to my profile! My name is Diana Jones. I have earned my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction, as well as a Master's degree in Education Leadership.  I earned all three degrees from Ottawa University, in Arizona. I am certified to teach Early Childhood-8th grade (in all subject areas).

I have been working in the education field for nearly 20 years.  I began as a paraprofessional/aide, working alongside students with learning disabilities.  I then began attending school and working towards becoming a teacher.  I graduated, in 2008, and have been teaching and working with students ever since.  

I taught 3rd grade for ten years.  I then moved up to teach 4th grade in the areas of ELA and Social Studies.  The following year, I looped up and taught 5th grade.  I proceeded to become an instructional coach, working alongside many teachers in grades K-8, helping them grow in their skills and teaching craft.  Throughout my years in the classroom, I spent every summer working in either a summer school setting, teaching students from grades K-5, or working in my local YMCA summer camps with students of all ages.  

I first began teaching online during the Covid Pandemic.  Teaching online gave me a new passion for teaching. I enjoyed building relationships, teaching, and helping students grow through the power of technology!

I love being a teacher because I get to inspire and empower students every day, witnessing their growth and seeing their potential unfold brings me immense joy and fulfillment.  I dedicate my time to teaching and finding ways to keep students engaged, having fun, and talking and learning with one another.  I believe that all students can and will learn with lots of encouragement and confidence which I enjoy helping them build within themselves.
