CLASS SUMMARY:

This 3-class Social Skills Camp is packed with powerful tools to empower young learners to build Self-Awareness, Social Confidence, and increase Self-Esteem!!!

This course teaches tools to enhance social skills, intrapersonal skills, and emotional intelligence.  Students will learn to identify their strengths and weaknesses in social situations. 


TOPICS COVERED:

Class 1: Introduction to “Chain of Events” & Building Self-Awareness.
Understanding the connection between our thoughts, feelings and actions. Students will practice identifying negative and positive thoughts in various social situations to build self-esteem. 

Class 2: Avoidance-Motivation- Rewards. 
Students will learn about "Exposure Ladders", an evidence-based tool to increase confidence and achieve social goals. 

Class 3: The Assertiveness Line.
We will discuss positive/negative body language. The use of "I" statements vs "You" statements in communication. The difference between Assertive/Passive/Aggressive communication.

TEACHING STYLE:

⭐️When your learner joins my class, they will always encounter a welcoming and warm place to learn and grow!

This is a lecture-based course with facilitated practice embedded in the lessons and homework exercises. Participation in class discussion is highly encouraged, but not mandatory. Students can participate in discussions as much as they are comfortable. 

To facilitate learning we utilize samples of different social scenarios such as starting a conversation, making new friends, presenting projects, asking for help, speaking up for ourselves, and so on. 

The goal is for my students to leave my class with ideas, strategies, and tools that can be used to handle social situations with ease and confidence! 


HOMEWORK:

This course offers homework and is highly recommended for students to work on the worksheets provided after class. 


REFUND AND TRANSFER POLICY:

This class has a standard refund policy: 
"Refund within 24 hours of payment until your next meeting or lesson access begins".

Requests for transfers will only be accepted if submitted 24 hours before the class begins. If a student is absent, a recording of the lesson will be available on the classroom page.
