Grupo social y juegos para estudiantes con discapacidades (de 9 a 11 años)

This class is designed as a social experience for any student who has a disability and is looking for some social interaction, fostering new friendships, or enhancing their communication skills. This class will serve as an opportunity to communicate with others, make new friends, try new things, and have some fun! All abilities are welcomed, including students with autism, cognitive delays, Down Syndrome, and other exceptionalities. 

This class is created to help students with disabilities to connect and make friends from around the world, while having fun! We will try new games and activities, and I will guide and facilitate discussions with the learners to help promote friendships and emphasize similarities between one another. This will benefit and help learners increase their skills in communicating, turn-taking, listening, and overall connecting with others virtually. 

Each class will have a different game or activity planned (such as scavenger hunts, guessing games, show and shares, etc.) as well as an opportunity for guided conversations. This class is a great opportunity for students with disabilities to meet new friends from around the world and have some virtual fun in a safe and supportive community! 

Parents, please note that while this class is open to any student who has a disability, students who do not have a way to communicate via video chat, may not benefit from the class.
