In these 1:1 tutoring sessions, learners will develop various key social and emotional skills in a supportive and caring environment. Each lesson will be individualized to the needs of the learner. Infographics, slides, picture books, or short articles, and lots of good, personalized conversation and practical strategies will make up each session. Skills include: Active listening Asking for help Compassion Controlling your emotions Curiosity over judgment Empathy Feeling your emotions Giving a generous story Helping others And more… The class will be broken into three sections: 5 min—intro/chat/ice breaker 20 min—discussion 5 min—practical application/homework There is no prior knowledge needed. I will share at-home resources with learners and their families when requested or needed.
