Cantar, leer y rimar: hora de cuentos para preescolar y jardín de infantes

Students will love singing and reading together in this fun and fast-paced class. Our songs will be fun children's songs (Raffi songs, Bingo, On Top Of Spaghetti, etc.). I'll even take requests! The purpose in these songs is to have fun singing, and to promote positive interactions among all students.

Our story time will feature short, fun books geared toward very young children (Elephant and Piggie, Go Dog Go, Press Here, Shel Silverstein poems, etc.) The purpose of these books is to give each child a positive experience with authentic literature, and to foster a love for reading. We usually have time to read 3 books per class.

Students will be reading, singing, dancing, rhyming, and of course LAUGHING!

Week 1: There is a Bird on Your Head! (Elephant and Piggie), Head Shoulders Knees and Toes
Week 2: The Watermelon Seed, On Top of Spaghetti
Week 3: Press Here, Down By The Bay
Week 4: I Want My Hat Back, Shake My Sillies Out

*Many songs, stories, and poems will be used in multiple weeks

Because this is an ongoing class, feel free to jump in late, or to cancel at any time if the class isn't right for your child.
