Learn to write a simplified, modern style of cursive! This course teaches your learner how to form all lowercase and uppercase letters of the English alphabet. Learning to write in cursive will help you read cursive writing. By the end of this course, you will also be able to develop your own unique signature.

Use any lined paper and writing utensil of your choice. Learn to write letters by repeated practice of a few different strokes. Letters taught together have similar strokes. Each week, on Monday and Thursday, I will post links to instructional YouTube videos I have created that teach several letters. These videos last around 5-7 minutes and demonstrate how to form each stroke, letter, and practice word. The videos also include oral instruction. Opportunities to practice abound throughout the video and should last until your learner can write each stroke, letter, and word correctly and comfortably! I am available should you require any assistance!

Hello families! My name is Kiara Banks, but please call me Ms. Kay! I teach life skills courses to young learners, helping them communicate, set goals and make good decisions. As the teacher, I present scenarios that assist children in making good choices. Art activities incorporated with open dialogue make for stimulating class involvement. I believe that it is vitally important to develop positive socio-emotional skills to experience real success in life. Additionally, I wish to support families experiencing learning loss by offering reasonably priced private tutoring sessions.

I have over 20 years of experience as a volunteer teacher at a local community center, instructing students as young as 4-years-old. I also teach English language learners online, utilizing my TESOL certification. I have a certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education, as well as a Professional Tutor Certification. Most importantly, I am a homeschool teacher to my 4th-grade son. I love to learn and am constantly working to improve my skills as a teacher!

I enjoy many types of arts and crafts activities. As a fun fact, my favorite dessert is cake! I taught cake decorating lessons at a local craft store and sold decorated cakes for several years. Some of my wedding cakes even won awards!
