Experiencia de clase

In this class, students will be able to complete stimulating and simple science experiments. The some of the topics in this course will cover the subjects of chemical change, refraction, gas pressure, hydrophobic materials and capillary action. Through out each class we will simplify each topic so that your student will not only have fun but will learn and retain something new. Hands on learning allows your child to retain the knowledge on what could be a very complex science topic. My students will complete their project each week by using only a few easy to obtain household items. During this class, students will use the scientific method to explore their thoughts on how they think the experiment will end. Each week I will show a fun video of myself completing the experiment and then the students will all get to showcase their own experiment. After the experiment students will analyze their findings and come up with a conclusion. There will also be games as well to help expand on their understanding of how each experiment worked. I hope to see your child in my classroom!

Perfil
Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
Hello! My name is Stephanie Allen. I have a Bachelor's of Business Administration and worked for years in the mortgage industry. I left the industry to become a stay at home mom and began homeschooling my daughter. I never expected to fall in love with teaching. With my new found love I become an online ESL teacher and private tutor teaching ages ranging from 4-14. The subjects I currently tutor are Science, English, Art and History. My favorite subject to teach by far has been science. My daughter and I enjoy doing science experiments to learn the foundations of biology and chemistry. In my classes, I will be using basic household items to make the science experiments come to life. I believe having fun in the classroom significantly impacts the learning and retention of students. I have created a fun land engaging curriculum for my students. I hope to see your learners in my classroom soon.
